Sweet Louise is the only charity in New Zealand dedicated to supporting Kiwis with incurable breast cancer.  We rely entirely on donations and grants from individuals, organisations and corporates to continue our work. 

Sweet Louise provides practical, emotional and financial support to over 750 women and their families.   Membership is free and available to all New Zealanders when they are diagnosed with incurable breast cancer.  We can’t take the cancer away but we can help Kiwis to live as well as possible for as long as possible.

With a growing membership, the small but ambitious fundraising team is ready to take our fundraising to the next level whilst delivering the best experience a donor can have.  This role will play a vital part in contributing to the success of the fundraising team.


The Fundraising Campaign Executive is responsible for the acquisition & retention of supporters and reports to the National Fundraising Manager.

This role is responsible for the implementation of the supporter acquisition & retention strategy and operational plan including the welcome process and ongoing supporter communication plan & communications. As well as one-to-one personal communications. 



 The role includes the following key activities:

  • Project management of fundraising campaigns including briefing, print, production, data selection, project reviews, results tracking and analysis, within agreed sign off procedures
  • Budget monitoring including the approval of quotations and invoices within agreed budgets
  • Delivering an excellent supporter experience for Sweet Louise supporters, ensuring supporters are thanked and recognized in an appropriate & timely way
  • Planning, management and support of small to medium fundraising events
  • Answering supporter questions / queries and supporting community fundraising efforts and peer to peer fundraising activities, particularly around Sweet October
  • Ensure Supporter details and donations are accurately recorded in the database, providing administration support when required
  • Support for the wider fundraising team to achieve objectives, including the Supporter and Engagement and Grants Manager
  • Any other duties as required


  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a direct marketing / marketing environment preferably within a fundraising team
  • Proven creative flair and the ability to appraise creative solutions against the brief
  • Minimum of two years of working with databases, selecting and analysis of data
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple activities at one time and to meet challenging deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise internally and externally with supporters
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer literate - word-processing and spreadsheets
